The Napoli to Sharm el-Sheikh flight will be the first regular flight path connecting the two cities.
Air Cairo, an airline based out of Cairo, will launch the first regular flight between Napoli, Italy and Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. This flight path comes as a result of efforts made by the Ministry of Civil Aviation to support the tourism sector in Egypt.
It is expected that the first flight from Napoli will arrive at Sharm el-Sheikh on Friday night carrying around 170 Italian tourists, according to a statement from Air Cairo.
The Egyptian airline has been testing the flights between Sharm el-Sheikh and Napoli since October 29, 2017, tonight’s flight marks the first official flight between the two cities. In December 2017, the company also began conducting flights between Milan and Marsa Alam.
The Napoli to Sharm el-Sheikh flight is the third regular flight path traveled by Air Cairo and it is a part of a well organized plan to reinvigorate Italian-Egyptian tourism.
The company is planning to add more operational flight paths from various Italian cities to Egypt’s popular resort towns soon. Cairo Air looks to take advantage of the important role of Italian market in the Egyptian tourism sector.
This airline will make the route to Sharm el-Sheikh city easier and should encourage more tourists to come and enjoy the natural landscapes of the Sinai Peninsula, the crystal blue water of the Red Sea and the High Mountains in the midday sun, as well as make the most of all the local cuisine.
Sharm el-Sheikh was chosen as ‘the finest city in the world for peace and beauty’ according to the United Nations Educational, Science and cultural organization.
