Sharm El Sheikh is home to the Genena City Mall, a unique shopping experience packed with everything adults and kids need for a great day or evening out. If you want to pick up a fabulous outfit for a night out in Sharm, Genena has it covered, or if you’re looking for somewhere great for dinner, with the atmosphere of a live show then you will not be disappointed here.
Genena City Mall offers visitors great choice and puts a lot of detail into its activities schedule for kids. The centre has bowling facilities, a cinema, a billiard and games area, a section dedicated to crafts, electronic games and trampolining.
It even boasts an onsite ice rink, which offers public and family sessions, special events and a private figure skating school.
The centre has a fabulous café situated at the main entrance serving up some delicious looking cakes and other sweet treats. It is similar to Patisserie Valerie in the UK, offering visitors much deserved self-indulgence after a busy day exploring the centre. Parents can sit back and enjoy a break, whilst the kids fly past on rollerblades on the forecourt.
There is a bumper car section, where brightly painted bubble cars whiz around their own special area offering some serious fun. Neat and well presented shopping units are nearby, selling kids items such as shoes and clothes, so parents can also shop for their children in the same area. It really is all about the kids here!
Just a short walk around the corner is where you can find the cinema, which looks like a unique and exciting experience. It offers the latest 3D and 5D technology, which is similar to living a movie instead of watching it, all of this within the comfort of a fully reclining leather armchair! It is intense and fun and you are given a special pair of glasses to wear to add to the experience.
They have a wide selection of adventures you can choose from so you can fly through valleys or experience sharks when you’re out shopping! The staff are more than happy to show you around and help you find a movie of your choice.
Genena City Mall offers kids so much variety, from high tech options to more hands on fun.
Lessons on how to make pizza are available from Sadiki Café. Here all the kids get together around a big table where they learn how to stretch dough, roll it out, add tomato sauce and toppings to make some exciting creations. Parents are advised to bring a camera to capture their mini chef cooking up a storm!
For more educational experiences, the centre is home to its very own King Tut Museum. Guided tours are available and are a great opportunity for families to learn about ancient Egypt.
The museum explores the ancient world of King Tutankhamun; the Egyptian boy Pharaoh of the 18th century dynasty, who’s tomb was unearthed in 1922. It showcases an exhibition of original copies of the items discovered in the boy King’s final resting place which is sponsored by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism.
When you’re finished at the museum, kids can go on and join the fun at the party which is held every Friday, here they will be entertained by cartoon characters in costume, play games and for those who still have energy left to burn, can join in at the mini disco.
Sharm Circus School is also based in the centre, offering a wide range of courses for those interested in the fine art of juggling, trapeze, aerial & silk hoop, ribbon dance and much more. Genena City really puts so much effort into keeping the kids happy, it’s hard to think of anywhere else that manages to combine so much variety under one roof.
It is a unique and fun learning experience waiting to be discovered.
