First French flight lands at Sharm airport after years of hiatus

The first French flight arrived in the wee hours of Saturday at Sharm El Sheikh International Airport after years of hiatus.

Flight 3034 coming from Charles de Gaulle Airport with 137 passengers on board landed on the airport of Sharm el Sheikh, a source with the tourist companies said.

France has resumed flights to the Red Sea resort city of Sharm el Sheikh with an average of one flight per week, the source said, noting that the number of French tourists and flights are expected to grow during the upcoming tourist season.
