Little Buddha gets A Facade Lift
Flect company having produced a stunning piece of which now graces the entrance of Little Buddha. Guests passing the Tropitel Hotel may admire the piece for its beauty without appreciating the work that went into the project to achieve the shine and feeling of movement.
Each of the 35,000 sequins is made up of 6 layers of PVC to produce the two-tone golden 3cm diameter sequin paillettes. The structure took over a week to produce and more than 10 hours to install onsite.
Anatoliy has been working on this kind of art work for the past 3 years in Ukraine, for companies such Dior, Coca-Cola and Heineken while this is Air Flect’s first project in the Egypt.
The shining mosaic engenders different feelings from different perspectives and different times of day.
At night it has a natural reflective effect that does not require electricity; during the night time it is like a screen while during day time produces a relaxing feeling for visitors to this famous venue.
