Sharm el Sheikh International Airport gets a boost

The African Development Bank agreed to provide a $170bn loan to develop Sharm El- Sheikh International Airport, stated Mahmoud Esmat the Chairman of the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation.
Esmat said that the developments aim was to increase the airports absorptive capacity.

The expansion will serve the tourism sector and increase the revenues of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, in addition to helping improve the national economy and more importantly to us, the Sharm el Sheikh economy.

The airport’s current capacity is 10 million passengers; the development’s target is an increase to 18 billion passengers per annum.
