Maritim Jolie Ville Golf resort hosted the 13^th Salem Trophy Cup on 28^th Feb & 1^st March.  45 players (10 of which are local Sharm el Sheikh players) from over 11 countries competed in the tournament which was played over 36 holes Stableford with golfers receiving full handicap allowance.

The tournament was opened with a cocktail evening on the 27^th Feb held at the Golf resort, where players had a chance to meet each other and enjoy the fantastic canapés and sushi.  The Grand Finale of the tournament was a magnificent gala dinner and prize ceremony hosted in the 19^th Hole club house.

Local resident Frank Mergl from Marina Divers won the Salem Trophy.  Pam Naidoo from Cairo won the trophy for the second group and Sharm residents Charlie R Charles and Ian Brown picked up the closest to the pin and longest drive prizes.

Maritim Jolie Ville Golf course is par 72 PGA Championship golf course (6021m) which opened in 1997 and is designed by renowned American architect Sanford & Associates. The course features Bermuda grass and 18 man-made lakes.  Lessons, Golf Clinic and annual membership are available.
