Chicken Crispy

Oriental chef and manager of Sports Café sharm
Chef Khalid was born in Syria, but has lived in Jordan and has taken Jordanian nationality. He trained and worked as a chef in Lebanon and Jordan, as well as working in the Emirates and Syria. He has worked in famous restaurants,
like his family restaurant Megbel in Jordan and the famous Lebanese restaurant Manuela.
He moved to Sharm this year to take over the management of Sports Café and will be opening the new restaurant, Chicken House,in 2 months time.
Chef Khalid gives credit to his wife for all her support, saying “behind every successful man there is a great woman” . She also works as a chef and will be handling the new kitchen in Chicken House, with Syrian cold and hot appetizers and different kinds of oriental recipes, which will appeal to all cultures.
He says “We always look to give our best for our customers, especially paying attention to high standards of hygiene, and hope to introduce them to a great and unique oriental taste”.
Ingredients :
* 2 chicken breasts
* 0.5 kg flour
* 5 gm of chicken powder soup stock cube (Maggi or any other)
* 1 egg
* Half an apple
* Lemon
* Cooking oil
* Small spoon of starch
* Small spoon of barbecue sauce (or any other sauce you particularly like)
* Half of small cup vinegar
Preparation :
Slice the chicken breasts into four long pieces, wash them with vinegar and lemon, and then leave them dipped in vinegar and lemon for one hour in the fridge.
Whisk the eggs with the starch, grate the apple into the mixture and mix it all together. Heat the oil to 180 degrees,
then take the chicken out and dip it in the mixture two or three times, till it has all soaked in the mixture.
Put the chicken pieces in the oil for 6 minutes, and then it’s all ready to serve, with rice and French fries as sides.
