Egypt Economic Development Conference 13th – 15th March
Prime Minister of Egypt Ibrahim Mahlab announced significant progress with preparations for the landmark Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC), which will be hosted by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on 13-15 March in Sharm el-Sheikh. Prime Minister Mahlab announced the additions of Unilever CEO Paul Polman, World Bank President Jim Yong Kim, and Citigroup Vice Chairman of Corporate and Investment Banking Peter Orszag, among others, to an already impressive speaker list for the EEDC, which includes top leaders from Egypt and beyond.
President El-Sisi will conduct one-on-one meetings with political and business leaders throughout the conference. Topics will touch upon Egypt’s future, energy, innovation, employment, social inclusion, financial Markets and the Suez Canal Development Project. Attendees will also learn about specific investment opportunities open to international investors. “This event is vital for the future of the Egyptian people and for the stability of the region,” said Minister of International Cooperation, Dr. Naglaa El Ahwany.
